Officers and Members of Volunteer Bush Fire Brigades within Nambucca Shire, are authorised by Council to respond to requests from the NSW Police Force for assistance other than direct involvement in cleaning up chemical spills or hazardous material incidents in accordance with Section 22B of the Bush Fires Act, 1949, as amended.

This be promulgated as a Standard Operational Procedures to Bush Fire Brigades under Council's control.
