Assistant General Manager Corporate Services Report

ITEM 10.4    SF25                300415         Donations Program (Section 356) 2015/2016 - Late Application - Life Education Van "Happy Harold"

AUTHOR/ENQUIRIES:    Colleen Henry, Grants and Contributions Officer

Summary:

Life Education NSW requests in-kind support from Council each year to tow the life education van “Happy Harold” from the Bellingen Shire to spots in Nambucca Shire and then to Kempsey Shire once the Nambucca visit is over.  The cost of this support has been estimated at $3,000.  Under Council’s Donations Policy, this amount must be approved by Council.  Life Education NSW was emailed a copy of the Donations Program application in November 2014 but did not submit it; however they have confirmed that they will need the in-kind support in financial year 2015/2016.  This report seeks approval from Council for the in-kind support.  There is no application.

The approval of this request will bring the total expenditure for the Donations Program to $11,250, out of a total allocation of $12,000.
