Beaches in the Nambucca Shire
Nambucca Shire has many stunning beaches to explore and enjoy. A variety of services such as access ramps, life saving, caravan parks, boat ramps, barbecues, public amenity blocks etc are also available nearby.
Libraries
There are two libraries in the Nambucca Valley. One at Ridge Street Nambucca Heads and the other at Princess Street Macksville
Macksville Memorial Aquatic Centre
Macksville Memorial Aquatic Centre consists of an Outdoor Olympic Pool and a Hydrotherapy Program/Lap Pool. Please click the link above for further details.
Water Restrictions - Level 1
Nambucca Shire Council is currently on Level 1 Water Restrictions
Nambucca District Water Supply Bowraville Off-River Water Storage Project
Council is proposing to build infrastructure to store and deliver water for the Nambucca Region. The proposal is for an off-river water stroage area and associated infrastructure needed to deliver water from the storage area to the existing headworks for distribution to homes and businesses.
Nambucca Heads Sewerage Augmentation
The existing Nambucca Heads Sewerage Treatment Plant is currently running close to its design capacity of 10,000 EP (Equivalent Persons) and is in need of upgrading. The augmentation works have a priority listing on the NSW State Government Country Towns Water Supply and Sewerage Scheme.
Parks and Reserves
A total of 85 hectares of parks and reserves, playgrounds, sporting fields and foreshore areas are available for public use, and are maintained by Council on a regular basis. Plans of Management have been designed to control the use, maintenance and development of these areas.
