The Nambucca Valley has many stunning beaches to explore and enjoy. A variety of services such as access ramps, life saving, caravan parks, boat ramps, barbecues, public amenity blocks etc are also available nearby.
During the summer season, weekend and public holiday life saving at Nambucca Heads and Scotts Head is provided by the respective Surf Life Saving Clubs.

During the Christmas School Holidays, Council has engaged Surf Life Saving Services Pty Ltd (trading as the Australian Lifeguard Service) to provide surf lifesaving services for the period commencing Wednesday 21 December 2022 to 26 January 2023 inclusive of Australia Day.

This Committee was established to review the provision of vehicular access and control measures on the public beaches in the Nambucca Valley. At the time of the formation of the Committee, membership was sought from the public and now comprises a cross section of commercial and recreational users of the beaches along with interested persons in maintaining the natural environment.

Our Volunteer Honorary Beach Rangers, on behalf of Nambucca Valley Council, provide a wonderful service to all beach users by enforcing Beach Permit conditions. If you are a regular beach user and would like to become a Volunteer Honorary Beach Ranger, please complete an Application for Volunteer Work and forward it to Council for consideration.

Nambucca, Kempsey and Port Macquarie-Hastings local government areas share a common Beach Driving Permit allowing 4WD vehicles to access designated beaches. Private and/or Amateur Fishermen, as well as Professional Fishermen need a Beach Driving Permit to access the beaches in the Nambucca Valley by 4WD.
