REVISED PRIVACY MANAGEMENT PLAN
and
DRAFT DATA BREACH POLICY - POLICY NO: CS 07

Council has prepared a revised draft policy CS 06 - Revised Privacy Management Plan Policy - the purpose of the Privacy Management Plan (PMP) is to explain how Nambucca Valley Council manages personal and health information in accordance with NSW privacy laws.

Council has created a new policy CS 07 - Draft Data Breach Policy as Amendments to the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1988 NSW (PPIP Act) creating a Mandatory Notification of Data Breach (MNDB) Scheme will come into effect on 28 November 2023 which requires adoption of a formal Data Breach Policy.

The Policies are available for viewing on public exhibition on Council’s website www.nambucca.nsw.gov.au – Advertisements.

Written submissions are encouraged and will be received up until 4.00pm 6 November 2023.  Please note that any submission may be incorporated in a Council business paper or otherwise publicly disclosed. Submissions should be addressed to the Acting General Manager, Nambucca Valley Council, PO Box 177, Macksville NSW 2447.
