Boat Ramps

There are several boat ramps in Nambucca Shire adjacent to rivers and beaches that are suitable for launching boats for the enjoyment of a variety of recreational pursuits.  Boat ramp locations are detailed below:

NAMBUCCA HEADS

• Shelly Beach (off Shelly Beach Road)
• RSL Club car park (off Riverside Drive)
• Wellington Drive
• Stuart Island (access off Riverside Drive)
• Gordon Park (off Wellington Drive)
• Passive launch area for canoes and kayaks near RSL Club Boat Ramp and at Gordon Park. They cannot be used as a boat ramp for motorised water vessels.

MACKSVILLE

• McKay Street
• North Macksville Lions Park (off Ferry Street)
• Boultons Crossing (off Gumma Road via Boultons Crossing Reserve)
• Nambucca River Tourist Park (off Nursery Road) Private Boat Ramp
• A passive launch area for canoes and kayaks adjacent to the jetty on the corner of River Street and the McKay Street carpark. It cannot be used as a boat ramp for motorised water vessels. 

SCOTTS HEAD

• Forsters Beach
• Weir Reserve (off South Pacific Drive)

VALLA BEACH

• Valla Reserve (off Ocean View Drive)

BOWRAVILLE

• APEX Park (off Wilson Road at Devils Elbow)
• There is a passive launch area in the Nambucca River for canoes and kayaks ONLY off Park Street Bowraville.  It cannot be used as a boat ramp for motorised water vessels.
