The Nambucca Community & Arts Centre is a cultural hub in the centre of Nambucca Heads CBD. The facility is a Council-owned and community beloved asset and is designed to be operated by hirers (i.e., there are no staff included)

The Centre consists of two Halls and a Gallery.

The Venues

The Main Hall is an Art Deco era building with polished wooden floors and pressed metal ceilings. Suitable for concerts, performing arts, and expos, it features a stage, stage lighting and sound system, piano, lush red stage curtains, and access to two dressing rooms. Trestle tables and seating are also available.

The Small Hall is a newer addition to the facility and is a carpeted room that has a capacity of up to 80 people. There is a kitchen available, as well as tables and seating and is suitable for workshops, meetings and smaller group activities.

The Gallery is leased by the Nambucca Valley Arts Council and hosts ongoing exhibitions. The space is available to hire as an additional kitchen and canape area to the Main Hall if desired, upon request and subject to availability.

All venues include reverse cycle air-conditioning and their doors open up to a central courtyard that can also be used for entertaining and activities.

A request for a booking does not guarantee availability of the hall. Council Staff will confirm your booking in writing.

Fees and Charges

Hire fees for the Hall are subject to Council’s Schedule of Fees & Charges as at 1 July 2025.

Main Hall

Regular hirer

$18.20 per hour

$24.60 per hour with extras (use of stage lighting, sound and/or dressing rooms)

Casual/one-off hire

$26.00 per hour

$34.00 per hour with extras (use of stage lighting, sound and/or dressing rooms)

Full Day

$ 208.00

$ 270.00 with extras (use of stage lighting, sound and/or dressing rooms)

Small Hall

$13.10 per hour

Casual/one-off hire

Fees and Charges are reviewed by Council annually (or as needed) and are subject to change.

A bond of $100 is payable for the use of the Hall/s and refundable upon satisfactory inspection and return of the keys.

If cleaning or damages exceed the $100 bond, Council will invoice the Hirer the for the additional costs incurred.

Cancellations

  • Cancellations made up to 7 days from the booking will not incur a fee.
  • Cancellations made within 3 days of a booking will incur a 50% fee.
  • Cancellations made in less than 1 day will incur 100% of the fee.
