Council has a contractor starting works to remove and replace approximately 50 metres of deteriorated footpath and kerbing on Boundary Street, located opposite Macksville High School, from this Monday 1 June.

Construction is expected to take about two weeks from 1-15 June, weather permitting.

Nearby residents and the Macksville High School community will experience heavy machinery being mobilised to site from this Monday. Thereafter, pedestrians walking from Wallace Street, along Boundary Street, and past Park Street will need to use a pedestrian detour. This will require walking on the road past the work zone.

Traffic control arrangements will be in place. All vehicles and pedestrians are encouraged to obey the instructions of traffic controllers for everyone's safety.

There will also be an impact to parking, with the temporary loss of approximately 6-8 car parks on Boundary Street while these works are being carried out.

We would like to thank the community for its patience and cooperation while we complete these essential infrastructure works.
