Nambucca Valley Council are working with consultants Fisher Design & Architecture on a Signage and Wayfinding Strategy which responds to actions in Council's Delivery Program.

The production of a whole of LGA Signage and Wayfinding Strategy will aim to:

  • Ensure that current and future signage facilitates safe journeys and positive experiences for locals and visitors and aids in the dispersal of visitors across the Nambucca Valley.
  • Promote tourist attractions, services within the Nambucca Valley.
  • Improve the presentation of the Nambucca Valley Council brand through improved signage design.
  • Give Council clear guidance for developing a suite of distinctive, innovative, and consistent road and destination signage, including town entrance signage.
  • Give Council direction for choosing the right signage for the particular circumstance and location.

A number of enagement sessions were held to gather feedback from the community along with a community survey.

We are now working on the development of the Signage & Wayfinding Strategy, improving internal processes, and developing a Style Guide.

We expect that the final documents will go to Council for consideration in Mach 2027.
