Nambucca Valley Council has opened Round 2 of its 2026-27 Community Grants Program, inviting not-for-profit organisations to apply for funding to support projects, programs and events that benefit the local community.

Nambucca Valley Mayor Gary Lee said the previous three rounds of grants had produced some excellent, grass-roots initiatives that helped to make positive impact in the valley.

“During engagement for our valley’s 10-year Community Strategic Plan, residents told us they would like the valley to be inclusive, safe and connected,” he said.

“This grant program, which is now in its fourth round, helps to bring the community’s ideas to life and its projects and events help people to participate, connect and support one another.

“I look forward to seeing what ideas our not-for-profit groups put forward for in Round 2,  2026-27.”

Grants of up to $5000 may be awarded to eligible applicants through this round of the program. Incorporated not-for-profit (nfps) associations or organisations with an Australian Business Number can apply to deliver programs, projects or events in the Nambucca Valley.

To be successful, applications need to demonstrate alignment with the outcomes of the Nambucca Valley Community Strategic Plan 2035.

Nambucca Valley Council Acting General Manager David Moloney said the program was also open to eligible not-for-profit organisations based outside the local government area, where proposed activities would deliver benefits for the Nambucca Valley.

“We welcome applications from within or outside the valley that deliver clear benefits for Nambucca Valley residents,” he said.

“In Round 1 of the grants program for this financial year, we saw numerous great programs awarded funding, including the Roaming Hall Concert Series, ShoreTrack Youth Kitchen Project, and a Youth Dungeons & Dragons event.

“I am sure there are many other groups with great ideas that just need a bit of funding to help bring their ideas to life.

“I encourage nfps to visit Council’s website and see if they are eligible to make an application by the closing date of 13 November 2026.”

Council has allocated a total of $50,000 to the Community Grants Program for this financial year and there is a total of $25,018.04 available for eligible applicants for this round.
