Grading crew visits North Arm Rd this week

Council’s construction crew has finished grading Graces Road and Dyers Loop Road, Argents Hill, last week and now they move on to grade North Arm Road.

Nambucca Valley Council Acting General Manager David Moloney said the team would grade the unsealed road from the end of the seal and continue along North Arm Road to the end of the defective areas (approximately 4 kilometres) from about 3-7 August.

“Council’s dedicated five-personnel grading team have been working hard this year to level and maintain gravel roads across the Nambucca Valley,” he said.

“The crew and their grader, tip truck and trailer, roller, and water cart are on North Arm Road, Argents Hill this week.

“Motorists who drive along this road should expect minor delays and please take extra care to look for and follow the team’s traffic control signs.”  

Here is an outline of the grading program for mid-August to September, weather permitting: 

  • Boggy Creek Road, Valla
  • Valla Road, Valla
  • Mitchells Road, Valla. 

While the grading crew maintains unsealed roads, they do the following tasks: 

  • Grade the road surface
  • Clear stormwater pipes of debris
  • Remove unstable material from embankments.

Through Antenno, you can save the places you care about and that you wish to receive Council notifications about. You can also take a photo of a section of unsealed road, upload it, and submit it to Council via the app. Alternatively, you can call Council on 6568 2555.
