Council welcomes State Government announcement of a roundabout at Valla Beach Road

Nambucca Valley Council has welcomed the State Government announcing a roundabout will be built at the intersection of Valla Beach Road and Giinagay Way.

Minister for Roads Jenny Aitchison on Thursday 3 October visited Valla Beach and committed Transport for NSW to delivering this important safety upgrade.

The decision was announced following strong community calls for the intersection to be fixed and significant advocacy by Council. 

Nambucca Valley Mayor Gary Lee welcomed the Roads Minister’s announcement.

“Nambucca Councillors and I have been to many community meetings about this issue, and the Nambucca Valley Traffic Committee has raised it with me many times this year,” he said.

“Our community wanted a roundabout, Council wanted a roundabout, and I am pleased the State Government has finally come up with this as the answer.”

Minister Aitchison stated design work on the roundabout is well under way, however she did not give a definite timeframe for the delivery of this vital infrastructure.
