What’s on the agenda at Wednesday’s Ordinary Meeting

At the Ordinary Meeting of Council on Wednesday 27 May, Nambucca Valley Councillors will consider the 50 submissions received on tree removal permit requirements, the proposed amendment to the Nambucca Development Control Plan 2010, publicly exhibited between 23 January and 27 February 2026.

The draft terms of reference for an Intensive Plant Agriculture Planning Proposal & Consultative Committee will also be considered at this week’s Ordinary Meeting, which is the next, collaborative step Councillors resolved to do at the 25 March Ordinary Meeting, to potentially progress requiring development consent for intensive plant agriculture in the RU1 Primary Production and RU2 Rural Landscape Zones, under the Nambucca Local Environmental Plan (LEP) 2010.

Nambucca Valley Mayor Gary Lee said community members are welcome to attend Wednesday night’s meeting, or they can watch it via Council’s live-stream platform, which can be accessed by visiting Council’s website and clicking on the top right-hand corner menu option ‘Live stream and archive’.
