Share your thoughts by responding to Scotts Head Master Plan survey

You’re invited to share your thoughts on the Scotts Head Master Plan by completing the initial project survey open to feedback for three weeks until 17 May 2026.

Nambucca Valley Council General Manager Bede Spannagle said a community drop-in event is planned for Sunday 3 May, 10am to 1pm, at the Scotts Head Rec Hut, to provide the community with more information on the project.

“Scotts Head is bordered by beautiful beaches and foreshore areas, much-loved by locals and visitors alike,” he said.

“Council understands the Scotts Head community has desired for years for a plan to better coordinate the management of these important areas, and in December a master-planning process was kicked off.

“So please go online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ScottsHeadMP or pick up a hard-copy survey from Reflections Holidays Scotts Head Park and share your ideas on how to better manage and improve the village’s foreshore areas with Council.”

The Scotts Head Master Plan is a Council plan aimed at providing a framework for better managing foreshore areas at Scotts Head and public spaces. Reflections Holidays has significant buy-in to the master plan process, contributing financially to the plan, and as a key tourism operator in Scotts Head, it has an interest in informing the process for improved community outcomes.

A project reference group has been formed and it consists of Nambucca Valley Mayor Gary Lee, Council’s Director of Engineering Services David Moloney, Reflections Holidays Scotts Head Park Manager Caroline Winter, Scotts Head Community Group Inc Chairperson Tony Crimmins and community members John Schmidt, Nicole Lane, Eric Graham and Liam Swan.

After the initial survey, there will be two further opportunities for community members to further share their feedback, during a second phase of engagement from June-July, where different parts of the master plan will start to take shape, and then during October-November when the plan will be reported to Council.
