Join us for brekky rolls with Sunrise and the nation
Published on 17 March 2026
Come down to the Nambucca Heads V-wall this Thursday 19 March from 5.30am and help put our valley on the map.
Channel Seven’s Sunrise Breakfast program is broadcasting its weather segments, with Sam Mac, live from the V-wall.
Nambucca Valley Council Manager Economic Development and Tourism Jan Rooney said Council is inviting the whole valley to join in and get a free bacon and egg brekky roll, simply by showing up at 5.45am for the first live cross.
“We’ve got an amazing line up of locals being involved in activities and interviews with Sam Mac, so please come on down to the V-wall this Thursday and help to celebrate our valley,” she said.
“If you have a family with children, bring the kids along for their chance to get on the telly, in front of the whole nation.
“We want to shine the spotlight on our area’s amazing beauty and celebrate its charismatic locals and businesses.
“So please join us on Thursday, whether it’s sunny or showery, as whatever the weather is, this event will be going ahead.”
Fun activities Sunrise’s Sam Mac will be doing include:
- Macadamia nut cracking competition, thanks to Nambucca Macnuts
- Oyster shucking with Nambucca Oyster Company
- Great veteran business owners and stylists, Wendy Campbell of Wendy's Coiffure and Kay Harkness of In Touch Boutique, sharing their business and style tips
- Rock painting with renowned local artist, Ian Moule
- And live performances by Encore Studio roving performers and musicians.
Rain, hail or shine the live broadcast with Seven’s Sunrise will be going ahead. In the event of rain, please join us at the V-Wall Pavillion, a great business who has kindly donated the brekky rolls for those people who visit ready for the first live cross at 5.45am.
