Next steps for Rural Lands Consultative Committee

An EOI was held in June to find community members with an interest in rural issues and land use to join a new advisory committee as a volunteer.

There were 15 people who expressed their interest and we thanks them for their effort.

A report recommending the make up of the group will be submitted to Council by about August 2026. Should Councillors resolve the successful make up of the group, it is expected to hold its first meeting by the end of 2026.
