Bowraville residents and Nambucca Valley community members are invited to a drop-in session at Grants Hall, Bowraville, tomorrow where information on implementing the Bowraville Masterplan and Design Report and an outline of other projects will be given.

Nambucca Valley Mayor Gay Lee said the drop-in session would provide the chance for people to chat directly with the Bowraville masterplan team and share their ideas on building a potential splash pad in the Hennessey Tape Recreation area, subject to funding.

“Tomorrow marks an important step in delivering the Bowraville Masterplan, as Council staff will outline the draft design and implementation plan for Precinct 1, which Council has allocated $225,000 towards. Precinct 1 is the High Street median strip area, located approximately opposite Nambucca Valley Phoenix.

“Residents will also be able to have their say on where within Hennessey Tape Recreation area they would like to see a potential splash pad in the future, subject to funding.

“So come on down to Grants Hall and have a cuppa with Councillors and Council staff tomorrow.”

Nambucca Valley Council Acting General Manager David Moloney said in conjunction with the drop-in session in Bowraville, there is now an online survey open to feedback, in case interested people would prefer to provide their ideas this way.

“If you can’t make it down to Grants Hall in Bowraville tomorrow, I would encourage everyone to visit Council’s website and take a few minutes to complete the online survey,” he said.

“It covers the masterplan implementation, your ideas for improvement at the intersection of Belmore and High Streets, as well as what you think of installing security cameras near the clock tower.

“So, I encourage everyone to get involved and take up this opportunity to shape the direction of projects in Bowraville.”
