Council Christmas hours

Council advises that the following changes to operating hours will occur to Council facilities over the Christmas holiday period:

• Council’s Administration Building in Macksville: closed 25 December 2025 to 2 January 2026 inclusive. It will reopen on Monday 5 January 2026 at 8.30am. 

• Macksville and Nambucca Heads Libraries: closed 25 December 2025 to 2 January 2026 inclusive. Macksville Library's opening hours will be disrupted during January 2026 for refurbishment. It is getting a soundproof meeting pod, new carpets, being painted and having a kitchenette installed.

• Waste Management Facility, Old Coast Road Nambucca Heads:

25 December 2025 – Closed

26 December 2025 – Closed

1 January 2026 – 10am-2pm

Please note: there will be no change to waste collection days during the Christmas holiday period.

All Council facilities will re-open on 5 January 2026 at their usual business operating hours. 

Emergency maintenance of Council infrastructure and services, and site monitoring, will be carried out over this period, as required. If you experience difficulties with any essential service, please contact Council on (02) 6568 2555. For emergencies, please call triple zero.
