Children give great ideas to destination branding project
Published on 09 January 2026
At the Nambucca Heads Library on Wacky Wednesday – the first day of three free school holiday events for kids – children put their ideas of what they love about the valley onto paper.
Key among the favourite places and activities were visiting the Nambucca Heads V-Wall, swimming at Shelley Beach and eating summer fruit like mangoes.
Nambucca Valley families and visitors are invited to drop-in to the Nambucca Library or visit the Visitor Information Centre and grab a destination branding colouring-in sheet and let their imaginations go wild!
You can also complete a short survey here and go into the draw to win two nights accommodation at Ingenia Holiday Park Nambucca Heads, plus a $200 dining gift voucher at the V-Wall Pavillion.
Every person’s response will help to tell the story of our valley and support the creation of a destination brand that attracts visitors who resonate with our connection to place, community and the environment, and helps to build a sustainable visitor economy for our valley.
The destination branding project was identified in Council’s Delivery Program and Economic Development & Tourism Strategy 2025/26 - 2029/30.
The survey closes 5pm Monday 19 January 2026.
