Council wishes to advise the pavement rehabilitation works along a 250 metre stretch of Grassy Head Road are being extended until Tuesday 8 September 2026, weather depending.

The final construction task of spraying bitumen seal over the rehabilitated road is now scheduled to take place on Tuesday 8 September.

Here is an outline of the road closure times for the program's coming five days:

  • Friday 4 September to Sunday 6 September: both lanes of the road will be open to vehicles, under a reduced speed limit.
  • Monday 7 September to Tuesday 8 September: one-lane of road will be open to vehicles, under a contraflow traffic control arrangement, outside of construction hours: from 3.30pm in the afternoons, up until 8.30am the following morning.

At this stage, subject to change, Council expects the road to be rehabilitated, resealed and open to traffic again by close of business on Tuesday 8 September.

Council would like to thank our community for their patience while the infrastructure team finishes these works.

If community members have any questions, they can contact 6568 2555 or council@nambucca.nsw.gov.au
