Second round of support opens to young entrepreneurs

If you heard about the fabulous Launch Pad Youth Entrepreneur program, but just didn’t manage to get your application in, don’t miss this second, special round now open to applications.
The Launch Pad program provides hands-on, practical help to assist young entrepreneurs to achieve their dreams.
Nambucca Valley Mayor Gary Lee said local youth aged 18-30, with a business idea or an existing venture in need of some direction, should consider applying by 24 August 2026.
“The first Launch Pad Youth Entrepreneur program delivered by local business expert, Julie Humphris, was sought after and it helped local youth gain hands-on business assistance,” he said.
“Our Council is again supporting this program, along with other partners including Kempsey Shire Council and Port Macquarie Hastings Council, because it helps to strengthen our local business community for the future.
“A key message we heard during the lengthy Community Strategic Plan process over 2024-25 was our community would like to see greater opportunities for young people in our valley and this practical program provides this for entrepreneurs and big thinkers.”
Places in Launch Pad Round 2 are limited to 15 participants and simple applications need to be submitted by 24 August 2026, with selection based on the applicant’s readiness.
Participants will take part in 10 weeks of guided support and in-person workshops on topics essential for starting and growing a business.
Launch Pad program facilitator, Julie Humphris, said the free program is designed to be practical, supportive and human.
“Participants in Launch Pad Round 1 found it truly helpful and inspiring to gain some space to think and access trusted guidance,” she said.
“Launch Pad creates that environment, where participants can make real progress with support around them.
“So get your application in by 24 August if you can commit to the 10-week program and be ready to start with like-minded youth on 1 September 2026.”
Young entrepreneurs interested in applying for a place in Launch Pad Round 2 are encouraged to submit their application online here by this Monday 24 August 2026.
