Council wishes to advise Tilly Willy Bridge has now reopened to vehicles and its previous five tonne load limit has been removed. This is a great outcome for the community as all heavy vehicles will now be able to use this popular route between the towns of Macksville and Bowraville.
This morning, Council's Structures team carried out a successful load test on the bridge. It passed with flying colours and the bridge opened thereafter at about 8.45am.
Council wishes to thank the community for their patience while the bridge was closed for the essential refurbishment works from the 4 May 2026.
The Structures team will continue monitoring the bridge over the coming weeks to ensure it stays in good condition.
