Unsealed Rural Road Repairs
Nambucca Valley Council manages approximately a 300 km network of unsealed rural roads. Following the impact of Tropical Cyclone Alfred and the March 2025 storm event, significant damage occurred across the network, including the loss of surface gravel, scouring, and embankment slips.
Over the next two months, multiple crews will be undertaking essential repair works. These will include:
- Grading of road surfaces
- Clearing stormwater pipes of debris
- Removing unstable material from embankments
Residents should expect increased activity in the affected areas, including heavy vehicle movements and machinery operations. While every effort will be made to minimise disruptions, some minor travel delays may be unavoidable.
Council appreciates the community’s patience and asks that caution be exercised when travelling through work zones. For further information please contact council on (02) 6568 2555
Thank you,
